Please see the below project update and list of activities scheduled for the week of October 31st 2022. 

• The athletic field storage shed overhead door shall be installed.  
• The site contractor will be hydroseeding around the long jump areas and other misc landscape areas at the perimeter of the track.  
• The site contractor will continue with installation of foundation insulation and backfill of foundation walls in Area B and commence this effort at the loading dock foundation.  
• The site contractor shall commence with backfilling to subgrade in Area A, in preparation for UG Plumbing excavation and installation the week of 11/7.
• The site contractor shall complete the excavation and construction of retaining wall #2 on the South elevation of the building.
• The site contractor shall continue prepping and fine grading the fire access loop road around the perimeter of the building.  The asphalt binder for the roadway is currently scheduled to placed on Thursday 11/3 or Friday 11/4. 
• The site constractor shall commence with excavation and subgrade prep of the electrical hand holes around the perimeter of the site to support the future site lighting.
• The concrete contractor will continue forming and pouring the exterior footings/piers at the Main Entrance Canopy and STEM Patio areas of the building.  These activities will complete the building foundation scope for the project.  The concrete contractor will commence with clean-up and demobilization efforts at the end of the week.
• The plumbing enabling contractor shall complete the installation of the underground plumbing in Area D of the building.  Inspection and sign-off of this work with the Town's Plumbing Inspector is tentatively scheduled for Thursday 11/3.
• The electrical enabling contractor shall continue with the electrical ductbank installation from the BESS vault location to the building and commence with the installation of conduit and electrical hand holes around the perimeter of the site to support the future site lighting.

The project will be working on the site this Saturday 10/22/22.  Activities will consist of the following: 

• Construction of the new athletic storage shed shall continue.
• The site contractor shall be moving and processing soil materials onsite in preparation for subgrade prep and asphalt paving scheduled to be completed in the upcoming two weeks.

This weekend work schedule has been communicated and coordinated with the Town Manager's Office.

• The athletic field storage shed construction shall be completed.  
• The site contractor will be completing general clean-up and placing remaining loam materials around the long jump areas and other misc landscape areas at the perimeter of the track.  Seeding of these lawn areas is tentatively scheduled for the end of the week.   
• The site contractor will continue with installation of foundation insulation and backfill of foundation walls in Area B.  
• The site contractor will continue with excavation and sub-grade prep for interior footings in Area B at the Gymnasium.
• The site contractor will continue with excavation of underground plumbing trenches in Area D of the building.
• The site contractor shall continue with the installation of the underground sewer line on the South elevation of the building located in the perimeter access road.
• The site contractor shall continue with the excavation and construction of retaining wall #2 on the South elevation of the building. 
• The concrete contractor will continue forming and pouring the loading dock foundation walls. 
• The concrete contractor will continue forming and placing the interior footings in Area B at the Gymnasium.
• The plumbing enabling contractor shall continue with the installation of the underground plumbing in Area D of the building.
• The electrical enabling contractor shall continue with the electrical ductbank installation from a previously installed manhole to the BESS vault location.

• The site contractor will continue with installation of foundation insulation and backfill of foundation walls in Area B.  
• The site contractor will continue with excavation and sub-grade prep for interior isolated footings in Area A.
• The site contractor will complete back-filling of the underground plumbing trenches in Area C and shall commence with excavation for underground plumbing in Area D of the building.
• The site contractor shall commence with the installation of the underground sewer line on the South elevation of the building located in the perimeter access road.
• The site contractor shall commence with the excavation and construction of retaining wall #2 on the South elevation of the building. 
• The concrete contractor will continue reinforcing, forming and placing portions of the loading dock foundation walls. 
• The concrete contractor will continue forming and placing the interior isolated footings in Area A.
• The plumbing enabling contractor shall commence with the installation of the underground plumbing in Area D. 

The Town of Groton Special Town Meeting is MONDAY, September 12, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the Groton Middle School Performing Arts Center

The purpose of the meeting is to request authorization to increase the borrowing for the Florence Roche Elementary School Project by $9.5 million.
